The History of Sully
Francis
“Sully” Rice was born in Rutland, VT during the Great Depression of the 1930's.
He credits his mother, of Italian heritage, for teaching him the art of
"cooking to taste". Many hours during his adolescent years, he spent
"watching the pot, testing and tasting old world recipes" which were
served to his large family of five brothers and sisters.
It took
many years in other fields of endeavor for him to recognize his true
vocation. After his own catering business and several years cooking at
the Elks Club in Rutland VT; Patricia’s Restaurant was established in 1988. Over the
years, local have come to know Patricia's as "Sully's
Place" as his character is as much of the lure as the great food.
Our Food
Loyal customers
over the years have considered many of his dishes “all time favorites”,
such as his Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Italian Marinara, Prime Rib, New
England Clam Chowder, Pasta E’Fagouli soup and many more.
Our Staff
He has trained
